Ah the joys of the big family reunion. The card playing was part of a tradition in this Portugese clan: Pedro. Always amazed at how many folks travel so far to come to this event. Mel and Evelyn hosted, as always. Sadly, it was probably the last tournament of it’s kind. The first one was played in 1970 or 1972. And grandma has all the trophy plaques to prove it. Continue reading “Pedro Tournament and Mello Reunion”
Before the big Pedro party, the Robertson/Anderson clan gathered at Mel and Evelyn’s place. Darryl and I stayed at Saddle Creek’s condos for the weekend, which was a nice respite from the crowded “air mattress” scene over at the grandparent’s house! Continue reading “Copperopolis Family Gathering”
